Business Finland and Nordic Green Bank Nefco organise a webinar that opens the objectives and activities of Nefco in Ukraine. The participation of Finnish companies specialising in energy-efficient and environment-friendly construction technologies is essential.
About Nefco
- Nefco is an international financial institution with a mandate that includes managing the risk of lending to medium-sized and small municipalities. Nefco works with donor funds, which are considered public funds, and thus require transparent spending through a competitive process (tendering).
- The bank is currently involved in financing projects in Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine, ranging from loans for energy-saving initiatives to grant-funded green recovery projects in Ukraine. Nefco finances and supports the adoption of high standard technologies and ensures the green aspect in all critical infrastructure projects in Ukraine.

- Nefco is seeking Finnish companies with expertise in near-zero energy building principles, high energy efficiency, and the utilization of renewable energy sources. The webinar is a tool to facilitate the inclusion of Finnish companies as contractors in Nefco's programmatic activities in Ukraine.

The Team Finland Talks is scheduled for August 21 at 10.00 am – 11.15 am (Finnish time) through the MS Teams platform. During the meeting, Nefco representatives will:
- Present the bank’s ongoing programmatic activities in Ukraine
- Explain the competition-based selection process for contractors
- Discuss ways to facilitate the involvement of Finnish companies in the implementation of Nefco’s programmatic activities in Ukraine
- Introduce a coming international procurement of a prefabricated nZEB school building based on a Finnish concept and its possibilities for Finnish companies.
- Furthermore, participating companies will have the opportunity to ask questions of the bank representatives.
