Business Tampere, in collaboration with Team Finland, is organizing an informative event focused on enhancing exports through participation in and success with global infrastructure projects. Team Finland help Finnish companies to participate in and win international engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) led infrastructure projects abroad. We connect global EPCs seeking advanced technology solutions with Finnish suppliers and offer Finnish Export Credit Financing solutions. We focus on major global projects in transportation (airport, railway, metro and port) and telecommunication, water, renewable energy, energy efficient building, healthcare, schools etc.
The financing of large-scale infrastructure projects is typically arranged by international banks. These banks seek risk mitigation from Export Credit Agencies (ECAs). Major projects could involve several ECAs each providing cover for their national exports. As the Finnish ECA Finnvera can participate in the financing by insuring the Finnish exports to the project. FinnPartnership funding could be supported to Finnish companies in providing technical trainings and arranging long term after sales services with local partners in developing markets.
