Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's GDP increased by 8.7% in 2022 – the highest achieved by the Kingdom in 11 years and the highest among G20 members. The Kingdom’s growth prospects remain strong in the near future, for Saudi Arabia, the IMF projected GDP growth rate of 3.7% for 2023 with an emphasis on growing non-oil segment, building on export performance and continuing to attract global investments (FDI’s).
Egypt is a country of huge projects. In less than a decade, 30 new cities have been raised. 400 billion euros have been invested in the infrastructure and new projects are constantly announced. The country expands mainly eastbound of the capital Cairo, where ports, roads are built and modernized. Lucrative market opportunities for Finnish products are there, but to be successful, it is good to be familiar with the characteristics of the market.
Morocco's economy stands as a vibrant amalgamation of agriculture, industry, and services, cementing its role as a pivotal player in North Africa, with a GDP of approximately $124 billion as of 2021. Bolstered by its advantageous geographical location and a history of economic reforms, the nation has achieved a commendable average annual growth rate of around 4% over the past decade, enticing both domestic and foreign investments. Notably, sectors such as tourism, textiles, and automotive manufacturing have been robust drivers of this expansion.
